Terms of use
These terms govern the use of Bodoge Shelf (ボドゲ棚), provided by Hikaru Ishiguri under the brand hetobeco.
1. The app
Bodoge Shelf helps you manage your board-game collection, photographs and rules, and record and review plays on your device. The app is free to use and includes advertising. It does not provide accounts, public posting, cloud synchronization or in-app purchases.
The app supports Japanese and English. Japanese is shown when the app’s language is Japanese; other languages use English. Names, notes and other content you enter are not automatically translated.
2. Permission to use and intellectual property
You may install and use the app in accordance with these terms, the applicable store license and applicable law. Rights in the app’s original code, design and branding belong to the operator or their respective rights holders. Open-source components remain subject to their own licenses, available in the app.
You must not use the app unlawfully, infringe others’ rights or interfere with its operation. Nothing in these terms restricts activities permitted by mandatory law or applicable open-source licenses. These terms do not replace the applicable Apple standard software license unless a separate custom license is properly adopted.
3. Your records and photographs
You remain responsible for the information and photographs you choose to store, including obtaining any permissions required by applicable law. Board-game artwork and rulebooks may belong to their respective rights holders. The app does not grant permission to reproduce or distribute third-party material.
Saving content locally does not give the operator a license to publish, sell or reuse that content. There is no public-sharing or content-moderation service in this version. Please avoid including unnecessary personal information about other people in support messages.
4. Storage and data loss
Records and image copies are stored on your device. Editing, deletion, device loss, insufficient storage, software problems or removing app data can cause data loss. Deleting a game also deletes its related play records; in-app deletions cannot be undone through an undo feature.
OS backups depend on platform settings and availability. The app provides no independent export, backup or recovery service and cannot guarantee restoration. The operator cannot remotely restore data that was never sent to them. These explanations do not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded.
5. Advertising, links and communications
Advertising and external pages require network access. Your network provider may charge for data. Advertisements and linked services are operated by third parties and may have their own terms. The presence of an advertisement is not an endorsement of its product.
Personal-information handling is described in the Privacy Policy. Acceptance of these terms is not a substitute for any separate advertising consent required by law.
6. Changes, availability and responsibility
The operator may release updates and change supported operating-system versions. If a material service change or discontinuation is planned, notice will be provided where practicable and as required by applicable law. No payment obligation will arise merely because the operator later introduces a paid feature; its terms must be presented separately.
The app cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, accuracy of user-entered information or permanent compatibility with every device. The operator’s responsibility is determined by applicable law. These terms do not exclude or limit mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
7. Updates to these terms
We will post revised terms with their effective date and provide additional notice or obtain agreement where required by law.
The Japanese and English versions describe the same terms. Neither version limits consumer rights granted by mandatory law.
